Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Hi there. My name is Narelle and my partner’s name is Kev. We’re an older couple in our early 60s. We try to be fair weather sailors and prefer safe ports overnight. Looking to have safe transits with good easy going people. As a couple we are venturing into a new lifestyle which will involve much more boating in a bigger vessel.

About the boat, the plans, and current crew

usually cleancomfortablevery safeshare experience

My partner Kev and I have just purchased a boat from Sanctuary Cove and would love someone to join us in taking it down to our mooring at Forster/Tuncurry. Kev has owned boats all his life and has heaps of experience whereas I have had very little. This is still a “new” boat to us and there are new things to learn and idiosyncrasies to work out. The boat has been well maintained and in good operational condition.

What is expected of the crew

clean & tidyeasy-goingenthusiasticfit & healthyfriendlyorganisedrespectfultrustworthyconfident swimmergood communicatorpolitedon't mind cleaningcan follow orders

We are looking for someone who can find their way as part of the crew, working as part of a team as the boat is under way during transits, anchoring, fuelling, docking and supplying the boat. Someone who is able to enjoy the trip and anchorages along the way and can clean up after themselves ensuring a safe environment.
Must be total non-smoker and non drug user.
Must be flexible on days, ports and anchorages according to weather conditions.
