Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Greetings! I've been living on my boat for two years now, although most of that time has been in marinas in Bocas or Shelter Bay. I've enjoyed working on the boat in that time, but now it's time to get moving. I have almost exclusively been motoring about thus far, and so I think it is time to work on some sailing. My intent is to head to the San Blas area for a few weeks to a month, and then continue on to Columbia after. I'm just fine being on my own, but am thinking some division of life's daily tasks would be beneficial, and more enjoyable. Ideally, I'm looking not so much looking for crew with a specific skill set, rather someone who is in general reliable, resourceful, and a self-starting problem-solver.

Although the boat is in great shape, she is a work in progress (aren't they all?). The intent of the next few weeks is to shake her out, and to find and address whatever problems might arise, all while cruising some beautiful islands. The boat is comfortable, but she is on the smaller side. Possible crew would need to be comfortable living in close quarters. There is a private quarter-berth available, and Starlink internet.

What is expected of the crew

clean & tidydiligentfit & healthytrustworthyenjoy cookingdon't mind cleaninggood with maintenance

I'm not set on a specific division of labor. I'm hoping for someone who can put in a few hours a day for the general cause and enjoy the rest of their time aboard without being a detriment. There are some things I don't enjoy, like cooking, so if someone enjoys that, awesome! I'm no neat-freak either, but you need to be someone who leaves places cleaner than you found them. If you have strong sailing skills, wonderful, as that is something I intend to be working on. If you don't, you're gonna need to be tolerant and of assistance in other areas. There's a small, relatively mellow dog aboard currently serving as First Officer, so a like/love of animals is also required.
