Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Dear potential shipmate(s), I am a retired company CEO. I was born in the United States but spent my entire adult working life in Scotland, UK. Dundee to be precise. In my head I am more British than American. In 2009 I retired early to return to the US to care for my aging mother who passed away in 2015. I bought this boat, my seventh boat, in Guaymas Mexico and have been cruising the Sea of Cortez since. My sailing experience has been racing ocean going yachts in the North Sea at club level and now that I'm a bit long in the tooth for that young man's sport I am happily cruising the islands and Baja. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to circumnavigate and if I had started when I bought this boat, back in 2015 I would most certainly be near to completing it. For personal reasons I didn't and now I am content to cruise to wherever the wind takes me. After hurricane season is over (I went through "Bud" a few years ago at anchor and never want another night like that one) I want to travel South and Guatamala is first on my list. I took the RYA Day Skipper and RYA Yachtmaster Offshore courses and got my VHF upgraded to DSC. I am a solo sailor who is now looking for someone to share this lifestyle with me. I want to see how far I can go comfortably and enjoy the places I visit and the people I shall meet. I am fit and would like someone similar to share this with me. If you are like minded, please contact me and we can start the process of finding compatiblility and go from there. Fair Winds!
