Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Hello,
Looking for fun crew to get out on the water on Chesapeake for day-trips, weekend long adventures, or longer few days sails this fall, 2023 on my 40’ Cape George cutter. Looking to build connections with fellow sailing enthusiasts while having good time on the water. Hopefully tapping into these connections next year when venturing further afield outside of the Bay and into Atlantic.
Looking forward to meeting you.

About the boat, the plans, and current crew

usually cleancomfortablevery safeshare experience

She is a traditional, heavy displacement, very safe, and seakindly boat. Due to the years of previous ownership, she’s a little bit of a diamond in the rough. Sailing her isn’t a glamour cruise nor is it zippy racer experience. But she is surprisingly fast for her size, extremely comfortable in any sea state, solid, and safe. It is a true, direct, and involved sailing experience being onboard.

What is expected of the crew

Come aboard to learn sailing skills, improve existing ones, or hone advanced. And certainly to have fun. Onboard is a very relaxed, casual, no stress environment. Do partake as much or as little as you’d like. Just be respectful or the co-crew members, of the boat, bring positive energy, and have fun.
