Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Hello, with my wife we are the owners of an offshore cruising sailboat (Exploration 45 from the Garcia shipyard) leaving for a leisurely world tour of several years; we are sailing together for more than 45 years on coastal or blue water cruises. I sailed close to 55000NM (90% as skipper on my own boats) and my wife sailed more than 35000NM.
In the last years we visited the Norwegian extreme North (above the Arctic Polar circle) and then went down to Antarctica - Patagonian canals (early 2024).
This yacht is our fifth cruising sailboat.
We are very keen to have COMPETENT crew aboard: we like to know new persons and to share mutual experiences; it also allow us to realize longer sailing programs.

The yacht is only 10 years old but has already achieved a lot of challenges: the North West passage (Jimmy Cornell 2015-16), the Svalbard up to 80°N and the Antarctic peninsula (65°S). She is a very robust and comfortable vessel.
We are now going to start from Chile (Puerto Montt) to visit the French Polynesia (Gambiers, Tuamotu, Society Is).

What is expected of the crew

CREW NEEDED FOR THE CRUISE FROM PUERTO MONTT (CHILE early March 2025) to GAMBIERS (arrival expected end of April 2025) and then 5 months quite sailing on the spot.

The navigation program chosen requires strong involvement from everyone, permanent compliance with safety rules, a good level of skill and strict compliance with the instructions given.
A contribution to running costs of 25€/day is requested.
We will be spending a lot of time together in a small space; it is therefore necessary to establish very good trusting relations between us, to keep this space clean and tidy, to organize a life as regular as possible (for example with hearty meals and taken at set times) and a harmonious social life (games, music, films , talks, ...).
We are fortunate to have always been able to build a good friendly relationship with the team members who accompanied us.
