Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Aloha sailors,

I’m Captain Nick and have embarked on a journey around the world and I want you to join us. I come from a background of chartering, racing, and ship repair. Now I want to share these skills and help facilitate teaching the art of sailing and vessel care to all who join us on this yacht. Come share the experience with us on this unique and fun BnB at sea!

The yacht is a 50’ cutter, 2 times around the world. We have spent the last 3 years completely rebuilding her. Totally new rig, new electrical system, rebuilt machinery, and much more. We built her to withstand the heaviest of seas, including Cape Horn. Shes safe, comfortable, and ready for her hat trick.

I am an avid surfer, free diver, fisherman, and general waterman. I love the ocean and make sure we do our part to keep the planet and our bodies healthy.

Hope to share adventures with you soon!

Aloha,
Captain Nick

There will be stops along the way, for unknown amounts of time. We do not rush our way from A to B. The whole platform is built to go with the wind, and so we go.

What is expected of the crew

Crew is expected to be respectful, be diligent in their responsibilities, and put in their share of the work and play.

Maintaining the boat is expensive, so I do expect some contribution for staying aboard, depending on your bunk (see contribution section). This contribution covers general provisions like beans, rice, pasta, spices, fuel, propane, making water, etc. Additionally, all members must split fresh food, moorage fees if we decided to stay at a dock (rare), and fuel in excess of expectation (in case we motor a lot).
