Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Looking for crew for a shared contribution sail in Atlantic crossing from west to east on 2008 Hunter 50ft mono hull. I am currently in the Caribbean. I am planning on spending the winter slowly exploring the Eastern Caribbean islands. In the spring I will be looking to sail to Europe for next summer. The current plan is to depart St Martin around the end of March or early April. We would be sailing north to Bermuda. After a few days in Bermuda We will sail east to the Azores, then on to Gibraltar. You will be responsible for your transportation to and from the boat and other personal expenses. If you have any interest, please let me know and I will get you more information. Cheers Rob

The boat is a 2008 Hunter 49 aft cockpit. I am the second owner and have had the boat for 6 years now. I am a former mechanic and do most of the maintenance and upgrades my self. I have updated the chart plotter, AIS, autopilot, watermaker, solar, wind generator, LiFePo batteries and Starlink.

This is an expense shared cruise on a daily rate. You will be required to stand both day and night solo watches while underway. Cleaning of the inside, deck, and bottom is also required to different levels expected.

There are three cabins and two heads. You will have a private cabin with shared head.

I have a surfboard, 1 SUP, gas dinghy, and scuba and snorkel equipment.

As for me I am a USCG 100 ton Captain with aux sail endorsement. I have been sailing and racing sailboats for over 25 years. I have been living aboard and cruising for 9 years now. I have sailed over 40,000 NM having completed a full circumnavigation. I am also a PADI open water scuba instructor. Hiking, diving, exploring, adventure, and laughs are primary goals onboard this yacht.

I am looking for crew with good attitudes. No sailing experience is needed. We will share food and fuel expense on board. You will be expected to pay for your necessary visas and permits. I will cover the cost that are directly related to the boat and any maintenance with the boat. I prefer you to be a non smoker.
