Looking for crew for a shared contribution sail in the Caribbean on 2008 Hunter 50ft mono hull. I am currently in the Caribbean. I am planning on spending the winter slowly exploring the Eastern Caribbean islands. You are welcome to join for part of this passage or the entire journey. I will be taking plenty of time at each island to explore the land and seas. In the spring I will be looking to sail to Europe for next summer. You will be responsible for your transportation to and from the boat. If you have any questions or interest, please let me know. The boat is a 2008 Hunter 49 aft cockpit. I am the second owner and have had the boat for 6 years now. I am a former mechanic and do most of the maintenance and upgrades my self. I have updated the chart plotter, AIS, autopilot, watermaker, solar, wind generator, LiFePo batteries and Starlink.

This is an expense shared cruise on a daily rate. You will be required to stand both day and night solo watches while underway. Cleaning of the inside, deck, and bottom is also required to different levels expected. Cost sharing can be adjusted for assistance for web development.

There are three cabins and two heads. You will have a private cabin with connected private head.

I have a surfboard, 1 SUP, gas dinghy, and scuba and snorkel equipment.

As for me I am a USCG 100 ton Captain with aux sail endorsement. I have been sailing and racing sailboats for over 25 years. I have been living aboard and cruising for 9 years now. I have sailed over 40,000 NM having completed a full circumnavigation. In the last year I have climbed Mt Kilimanjaro, Sailed around the cape of storms (South Africa), Safari in Namibia, Carnival in Brazil, and Burning Man. I am also a PADI open water scuba instructor. Hiking exploring, adventure, and laughs are primary goals onboard this yacht.

I am looking for crew with good attitudes. No sailing experience is needed. We will share food and fuel expense on board. You will be expected to pay for your necessary visas and permits. I will cover the cost that are directly related to the boat and any maintenance with the boat. I prefer you to be a non smoker.
