Dear Shipmates

Introduction

After single-handing down the east coast of the US (some ICW, some off-shore) and cruising the Bahamas from West End to Long Island to Eleuthera and back to the Chesapeake, I've come to the conclusion that the journey would be much more enjoyable and less stressful with someone else aboard to share the beauty of the coastal areas as well as the activities involved in sailing a 41' boat. I'm an early retiree, competent sailor, low key and in good physical condition looking for a like-minded female to share the adventure on a well-outfitted and comfortable cruising sailboat.

About the boat, the plans, and current crew

The boat is currently in Solomons, MD and I'm looking for someone interested in coming along on another trip to the Bahamas beginning late October/early November. The boat is well-outfitted and very comfortable, with a generator, watermaker, solar panels, refrigeration, cockpit enclosure and AC. Pullman berth cabin with private head available. Boat expenses and onboard provisions are covered.

Expert sailing skills are not required, but must be willing to learn "on the job". Most important is a positive attitude and pleasant, easy to get along with personality. This is not a "cook/housekeeper" position, as the captain is a decent cook and manages to keep the boat clean solo.
