I'm finally making good on a plan 40 years delayed. I picked up my catamaran in France in late 2018. Now, with more than 20,000nm behind me and crew changes, I am at anchor in the Tahiti, making plans for the rest of this year and 2025. I will continue to sail west on my circumnavigation.
In the interest of full disclosure, I have no formal sailing training and am learning the finer points of sailing and seamanship as I travel. Still, with the encouragement of friends, professionals, and the kindness of strangers, I managed to get the crew and the boat safely to the South Pacific.
About me, I am: early rising (not late night clubbing), social, presentable, fit, healthy, vegetarian, single father of two young men (26 and 28 yrs), kind, humorous (that's the Canadian spelling for funny), amicable, educated, retired, and relaxed former academic. A full list of defects/shortcomings is also available on request.
Having made it this far (accomplishments and distance), I am looking for a like-minded female crew member who is interested in sharing and exploring part or all of whatever lies ahead.
If any of the above appeals to you and fits into your short or long-term plans, please consider contacting me.
