Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Dear shipmates - Live aboard sailing/cruising is very rewarding and fulfilling, but having someone to share it with is a huge plus.

This is the 9th season I have been sailing this boat and have sailed just over 37k NM. To date as far north as Machias Maine and as far south as Grenada, with plenty of time exploring the US east coast, Bahamas and the Caribbean. My goal is to chase 80 degrees and stay well clear of hurricanes or rainy seasons.

Presently, my goal for this summer is to explore the Maine coast, starting from the most northern point and working back south. I did a similar sail last summer and found it to be a whole new set of challenges with fog and lobster traps at the top of the list.

The boat is a solid boat and the perfect platform for travelling and exploring the world. For the most part, I live off grid and rarely stay at a marina. There is easily enough solar to maintain a good size fridge, freezer and a veggy crisper. When sailing, I almost always have two hooks out and sometimes get lucky with a mahi, kingfish, tuna or wahoo. The vessel is in great shape and unlike my first couple years, things rarely break, and I do stay on top of all maintenance.

My goal is to explore new destinations to meet, interact and develop friendships with the locals and other cruisers. The missing ingredient is having a like minded soul to share the journey.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,
Kevin
