I'm a skipper with over 40 years of sailing experience. I take seriously the safety of my crew and vessel. I have a USCG captain's license. I've spent the last 15 years cruising and passage making between Newfoundland and the Bahamas. As a former ASA sailing instructor, I enjoy teaching and believe sailing should be fun.

I plan to depart from Baddeck Nova Scotia mid-July, 2024. I’ll cruise the coast of Nova Scotia and then make the overnight passage from Yarmouth NS to Mt Dessert Island, Maine, arriving in early August. At the beginning of September I’ll start cruising south from Maine, arriving in Fort Lauderdale in December. I’ll then make the crossing to the Bahamas and spend the winter cruising there. It would be possible to join me for just part of the trip but two weeks would likely be the minimum commitment.
The boat is equipped with radar, AIS, chart plotter, autopilot, EBIRB, life raft, and guitar.

I'll pay for provisioning and boat expenses. You pay for your transportation to and from the boat. If we go ashore for a meal or drinks, each person pays for themselves. When the boat is underway, no drinking is allowed. Once anchored safely for the night, we can enjoy a drink.
