Dear Shipmates

Introduction

PLEASE DON'T CONTACT US UNLESS YOU WANT TO HELP BUILD THE BOAT TO EARN TIME ON BOARD (details below) We're sailing around the world... but not until we finish building our Kit Catamaran. Currently, we're looking for future crew who are willing to help us build our 50' performance catamaran. Once we finish (hopefully in 2026), we will set sail on a full circumnavigation voyage. We will be documenting our voyages on YouTube (which has already started for the build). As a crew member who helps us construct the boat, you may be part of our adventure from the start. There will be lots of different crew, yet only those who participate in the construction will earn guaranteed time on board. This is not a typical couple sailing a catamaran, our voyage is about the boat, the places it goes, and the crew who will sail her, and video documenting it all. Please note that we started the build of this boat in April, 2023, but the actual voyage will not begin until late in 2026, at the earliest, once the boat is finished. Please ONLY CONTACT US about crew positions right now if you are willing to help build the boat. Construction is taking place in the suburbs of Los Angeles, CA.. Working on the boat now earns time on our big, fast, catamaran later as we sail around the entire planet.

We are building our own performance catamaran that is also a very comfortable cruising cat. This sailboat will be capable of going around the planet, in comfort and safety, with a crew of 4 to 10 (max). Typically, there will be three permanent crew and up to five temporary crew (including those who earn a 'golden ticket', which you may read more about that on our website if you are a Premium member of FindaCrew. We are building our large, Solitaire 1520 catamaran from a Schionning Designs kit. Once construction is completed, she will be well outfitted with a scuba compressor, and many other fun toys. Please note, the only way to contact us for possible crew positions is through Findacrew; our blog, YouTube channel, and website are informational only.

Right now, we are looking for future crew members who are willing to help us build the boat. Later, we may seek crew members who are able to perform as crew and as Vlogers at times. If you are not willing to work on building the boat, please don't currently send an 'Interest' request through FindaCrew, though you may try that once the new boat splashes. Potential boat builders or crew members should be in good shape, personable, comfortable in front of a camera, outgoing, and friendly. All crew members, both those who help build and/or join us for future voyagers, will be featured in our YouTube videos. Once we start sailing, crew who helped us construct the boat will earn time to join us at various times and places like the Caribbean, the Med, Northern Europe, the South Pacific, Australia, and other locations as we circumnavigate of the planet. We plan to stop in about 110 countries and territories.

This is your chance to join our grand adventure and be part of the crew who builds this big cat and then sails her around the world. Knowledge of boat building or sailing is not needed (though appreciated); you will learn as we build the boat and then sail. If you think you have what we need, contact us through FindaCrew. Everything will be above board and honest, so you will understand your duties and rewards from the get go. We want you to join our crew, but those who help build the boat are the only crew with a guaranteed birth. Once we finish building the boat, we will sail out from LA to start our circumnavigation voyage by heading for the Sea of Cortez, then on to French Polynesia.
