The yacht has now completed an 8500 mile, one year, very successful voyage from Papeete, Tahiti to Subic Bay in the Philippines from May of 1917 to May of 1918. My thanks to the many FAC members that joined portions of the voyage and made it possible. I had a great time and I hope you all had rewarding experiences. Additionally we completed a 1000 mile cruise around the Northern Philippines and returned to Subic Bay in May of 2019. Then, the vessel remained in Subic Bay for the remainder of the typhoon/monsoon season and unfortunately we were port bound due to Covid 19 restrictions. I made good use of the time to work on the boat to prepare her for the next journey which was a two month, 1200 mile voyage around the Northern Philippines completed in April 2023. We are now well into a long long voyage to Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand having departed Subic Bay on July 2, 2023. .We completed the last half of the Sail to Malaysia Rally around Borneo, cruised Eastern Indonesia and spent several months in Raja Ampat. We then joined the Sail to Indonesia Rally in Ambon in July, 2024, and traveled with the Rally Westbound to Batam. Then we crossed the Singapore Straight and joined the Sail to Langkawi Rally in Puteri Harbor on November 10, 2024. We will complete that Rally on December 15, 2024 in Langkawi. The boat will be in Langkawi, Malaysia after December 15, 2024. I have space available for new crew members in February as we resume cruising to Thailand and other exotic destinations. As a single, happy captain, I am looking for adventurous individuals to share in the fun. I have a 100 ton license and have been boating since 1985. I have also been a pilot for over 40 years so navigating and trip planning are easy chores for me. UPDATE: Current location is Raja Ampat, Indonesia as of 06/15/24. In mid July we will join the Sail to Indonesia Boat Rally and head West through Indonesia to Bantam, then Singapore, and Langkawi.

I have prepared a 55 ft Long Range Trawler for extensive cruising. The voyage began westward from Papeete around May 11th, 2017. We are now in the Philippines and looking to cruise to Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, as soon as Covid and weather restrictions allow. In the past five years, we have visited Bora Bora, the Cook Islands, Niue, and Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, PNG, Palau, and we have been in the Philippines for 3 years. We have explored the Northern Philippines last season and remained in Subic Bay, Philippines for the remainder of typhoon/monsoon season and pandemic restrictions. We successfully resumed cruising in February, 2023 with a voyage around the Northern Philippines. There is no schedule. We will go where the adventure takes us. As of July 2, 2023, we have resumed the long range cruising mode and we have just entered Malaysia and looking forward to Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. The boat is equipped for SCUBA diving, fishing, kayaking, and long range cruising and exploring so the potential for fun and adventure is unlimited. All that is needed is great crew!!!!! I am looking for cruising partner(s) who want to share the adventure. It can be long term or for any segment of the voyages. You must be good company and willing to share in the work aboard as well as the fun and adventure. You are not expected to pay boat expenses ( ie. fuel, maintenance, and dockage) but you may be asked to contribute to cover the costs of your food and beverages depending on your experience and the skills you bring with you. Boating experience, while desirable, is not necessary as long as you have a good attitude, you are in good physical condition, and can be pleasant company on a long voyage to many exotic places. You must be a strong person looking for adventure understanding that mother nature can dish out some uncomfortable days as well as days in paradise. You will be expected to pitch in to help with cleaning, cooking, standing watches, etc. It can be a great learning experience for anyone who wants to learn all the aspects of boating and you can accumulate many "sea days" toward ratings. You are not just along for the ride but rather you will be the one who helps make it happen by being involved in planning as well as executing the trip..
