Dear Shipmates

Introduction

This year, the boat and I are embarking on a 4 months long adventure. Sailing the boat from the easternmost edge of Greece all the way to the southern tip of Spain—a journey of 2,500 nautical miles through four countries: Greece, Italy, France, and Spain and I am looking for 2 or 3 people to join me along the way.

The idea is to sail a bit daily (or a bit more if there is good wind and a good sea) and then either anchor or stay in a little harbour, explore, visit, swimm, have a beer... If we feel like it, and enjoy where we are, we might stay a few days...but for sure, we will arrive in Motril (Andalusia) no later that the 31st of August, where l will leave the boat for a few months. The sailing will be mainly be coastal, a lot of Islands and a few passages Corfu to Italy, Italy to Sicily, Messina straight, France to Corsica. The plan will be defined as we go...

Regarding cost, I am paying all expenses related to the boat, that is repairs, marina/harbour fees, Electricity, fuel, but unfortunately I do not contribute to your travel to and from the boat...Regarding expenses on board we just share the cost of food and other that we all normally use (loo roll, washing up liquid...cleaning products) and when and if we decide to eat out, either we invite each other or go Dutch!

Whilst sailing and exploring, this voyage will help me preparing the boat for an Atlantic crossing at the end of 2025 or 2026 (if all goes well of course!) and maybe connect with like-minded "adventurers" who could and would join me for the next adventure. Over the last 11 years, the boat has welcomed over 60 "sailors" and "aspiring sailors" women or men from aged from 14 years to 67 years, from all walks of life, all nationalities...
Whether you're an experienced sailor or a good beginner eager to learn and are interested in joining us for a few weeks or the whole trip, don't hesitate to contact me.

About the boat, the plans, and current crew

usually cleancomfortablevery safevessel is survey certifiedhave a holidayshare experiencevisit remote placesseek adventuremulticultural

The boat is a classic 35-foot blue water yacht with a long keel (think 2022 Golden Globe Race) a beautiful wooden interior and the charm and the comfort of another era – all, while boasting the reliability of a fiberglass hull and many modern upgrades. Since I bought this boat in Amsterdam in 2014, we've sailed over 16,000 nautical miles together. This yacht is well-maintained, safe and regularly surveyed (last survey winter 2022). (New engine (2023), new sails (2023/24), modern electronics including autopilot, GPS, plotter, and VHF with GPS, satellite phone, full safety gear: lifelines, life jackets, liferaft, EPIRB, and more...), back and front electric windlass (med mooring made easy!)

Reliable with a good sense of life, you must enjoy sailing in "limited" comfort and most importantly have a sense of adventure. This is no charter cruise! But a proper sailing adventure.
