Dear Shipmates

Introduction

This is a great chance to sail the Canaries, Madeira, Porto Santo and maybe the Salvagens on a 1979 NIcholson 31, one of the best British production built classic cruising sloops.
The plan is to sail the yacht Northwest towards Funchal in the island of Madeira. Although not yet set on stone, we may depart from Lanzarote. From Funchal we may sail NE to Porto Santo.

One important information would be your sailing experience, interests, requirements, etc.

Please, if you are REALLY interested don't wait for me to become premium. I am already providing the boat for this once in a life time adventure, show your interest by becoming Premium in Findacrew. I will answer exclusively to messages from premium members.
Thanks for your interest.
I look forward to hear from you. .

About the boat, the plans, and current crew

usually cleancomfortablevery safeshare experiencevisit remote placesseek adventurefulfill a dreamface challengesmulticultural

The boat is a 1979 Nicholson 31 in almost pristine condition, she is a fast and comfortable cruiser, 31 ft in length. She sleeps 6 in two cabins but that would make her a bit overcrowded. I am willing to accept a maximum of 3 crew apart from the skipper.

What is expected of the crew

clean & tidydiligenteasy-goingenthusiasticfit & healthyfriendlyrespectfultrustworthygood communicatortravel light (little luggage)politepositive outlookopen mindedsense of humorcan pay own expensesenjoy cookingdon't mind cleaningcan follow orders

This is a non smokers boat although smoking on deck is fine. The crew is expected to share cost by contributing to the boat's kitty while on board. This is not a profit making contribution; all the money will go towards the necessary upkeep of the boat, marina charges (if any) fuel, food on-board, etc. Some knowledge of sailing will be appreciated, but not essential. This is a great chance to experience sailing the Mediterranean and the Atlantic to the Canary Islands, visit various locations along the way, build up mileage, try your hand at sailing and share sea knowledge and experience.
