As a pilot transitioning from airplanes to boats has been a breeze. Troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs comes naturally. Navigation is much easier at 6 knots vs 600 knots. Getting around weather is a little trickier.

I did a two year tour in the U.S. Embassy Yerevan, Armenia as the Bilateral Affairs Officer and was an accredited diplomat. Which means I can speak intelligently and use my big words but I'm more creative with four letter words.

I'm a pretty good cook, do a lot of road and mountain bike riding, hiking, camping, fly fishing, kayaking, wood working, (I've built 5 wooden kayaks), I'm basic scuba certified, and would like to get back into rock climbing.

I'm just looking to get out on the water and continue to explore the world from a different vantage point.

Before I buy a boat I want to get an idea of what boat life is really like. I don't mind the less glamorous trips or getting my hands dirty with projects, repairs and trouble shooting. I prefer helping short handed crews with longer passages and deliveries on a variety of boats.
