• White male, 63 years old, 5’8” (1.73m), 155 lbs (70 kg), grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Moved to the US in 1986.
• Healthy and in good shape.
• Worked as an experimental physicist at a National Laboratory from 1994 until retirement in July/2020.
• Never smoked or used drugs. I enjoy a beer or a glass of red wine occasionally.
• Legally holding three passports (USA, Brazil and Portugal), making international travel simpler.
• It is a lot easier to list facts and describe my sailing experience than it is to describe myself, but I will try to say a bit here. In my humble (biased) opinion I’m a very reasonable person, and very easy to get along with (I get along with myself pretty well, and I can get along even with unreasonable people, but I try to stay away from those). I am a good listener and I have no problem following directions. At this point in life I am a relaxed and easy-going person, trying to enjoy life and have fun activities. My spouse is not retired yet, so when she is busy at work I look for sailing trips that are 2 or 3 weeks long (possibly a bit longer). Depending on the trip and my spouse's availability, sometimes she is able to join me on (part of the) trips, obviously only when the boat owner is interested in having an extra crew member.

My sailing experience:
• Sailing on Lake Michigan since 2011, mostly on small keelboats.
• Bareboat course (ASA 101, 103, 104) in St. Thomas, Spring/2014 (6 days on a Beneteau Oceanis 440).
• Crewed on the delivery of a Beneteau First 36.7 from Port Huron to Chicago in 2014, about 550 nm. Later crewed on 2014 race Chicago-Mackinac (290 miles).
• Chartered a Jenneau41 in the BVI in March/2015 for 5 days.
• June/2015 I crewed on a trip from Long Island (NY) to Bermuda, on a Swan48. It took us 5 days.
• November/2015 I crewed in the Salty Dawg Rally on a custom built 59' cutter. It took us 8.5 days to go from Hampton (VA) to Virgin Gorda (BVI).
• June/2016 I crewed on a Jenneau42 from BVI to Bermuda (6 days), then to Newport (RI) (5 days). Four people mostly doing 3 hour solo watches.
• May/2017 I took ASA 118 (Docking Endorsement) and a day of single-hand docking in Rhode Island. Also took the test for RYA SRC (VHF radio) certificate.
• November 2017 I crewed on a Jeanneau54 from Newport (RI) to Tortola (BVI), with a stop in Bermuda.
• September 2019 I chartered a Bavaria37, and spent 5 days island hoping near Split (Croatia).
• September 2020 I crewed on a Nicholson32, sailing around Menorca for a few days.
• August 2021 I chartered a Beneteau32 and spent 6 days around the Apostle Islands (Lake Superior).
• December 2021 I crewed on a delivery from Grenada to Puerto Rico, with a stop in St. Thomas. About 5 days on a Beneteau42.3, only owner and myself.
• May/2022 crewed on a Jenneau53 from Hyeres (France) to Preveza (Greece). 4 weeks, several stops.
• September/2022 crewed on 36 foot boat, island hopping from Mykonos to Rhodes (9 Aegean islands) in 10 days.
• January/2023 crewed on a Feltz46 from Colon to Bocas del Toro (Panama). 20 days, many stops.
• May/2023 crewed on Jenneau49 on round trip from Preveza (Greece) to Sarande (Albania), many stops.
• Aug/2023 crewed on St. Francis44 catamaran, 9 days island hoping in Fiji.
• Sept/2023 crewed on Bali42 catamaran, 4 weeks Athens to Menorca.
• Feb/2024 crewed on Gib-sea36, 1 month, Grenada, St Vincent, St Lucia.
• May/2024 crewed on Jeanneau50, 3 weeks, Thessaloniki to Paros with many stops.
• June/2024 crewed on the delivery of a Wally 30m (100 ft) sailboat, Sardinia to Athens.
