I started Keel Boat sailing ten years ago with my wife and now own a Lippincott 30 docked in Mayo, Maryland. Member of Navy OSTS program for five years from 2017 to 2021, which taught Navy Midshipmen leadership and blue water sailing and participated in three summer blocks. The longest was from Annapolis to Boston and back. I have been an active Bridge Member of the Pentagon Sailing Club, participating in the Racing Squadron, instructing ASA Keelboat classes, and being a member of the River Maintenance team maintaining a fleet of five Capri 22 sailboats on the Potomac River. I am interested in continuing to help move boats up and down the Atlantic Coast to gain experience and build hours toward a Coast Guard Captain license by late 2024.

I am a retired aerospace engineer. I am happily married and a father of four adult children, and I know how to cook and clean. We are recent empty nesters, and my wife is recently retired, so I would like to build days on the water and work toward a Captain's license. I enjoy teaching sailing classes, and I am building ASA teaching credentials.

Within four years I would like to find a 34ft. - 40ft. racer-cruiser class sailboat so my wife and I can spend a few months a year, while we are still young, cruising the eastern seaboard and Caribbean. In the nine months of the year that we are not cruising, I am interested in cruising the Chesapeake and teaching Sailing lessons.
