I am a full-time traveler who spends six months each winter on a sailboat in the western Caribbean. I am currently traveling to Greece for the month of October. My partner (who is the owner/captain of the sailboat in the Caribbean) and I are staying on the island of Paros and are hoping to find a boat willing to take us for at least a day cruise. We come with sailing experience and stories of travel and sailing for your short term entertainment.

Original Introduction:
I have completed my third cruising season as first mate on a 43 foot catamaran in the western Caribbean with my partner. I love the water, sailing and the cruising lifestyle.

I grew up in Michigan and am returning for a month this summer, hoping to get a little bit of sailing time on Lake Michigan July 20-27

I have been around water and boats all my life, and always choose the path closest to the water when I travel. I love to meet new people. I am able bodied and in good health. I am a decent cook, and comfortable with all aspects of meal planning, preparation and clean-up. I like to knit and write for relaxation. I enjoy music - I’ve got a pretty good playlist on my phone and am learning to play guitar.

My partner and I enjoy sailing in Belize and the western Caribbean on his boat. We take on crew for three week sails, and I think it would be interesting to see the crew experience from the other side, and get a chance to see the coast of Michigan from a boat for a short time while I am visiting this year.

I have been volunteering in exchange for room and board on land for years in my previous life as a full time RV living vagabond. I think providing crew services while contributing to the cost of living as a part of a team on a boat is a logical and natural way to travel with a purpose - closer to the local culture and not as a tourist.
