I am having a little fun and adventure in my retired years. I have been cruising for 25 years and believe the waters around the 400 islands and three offshore atolls of Belize, and the waters around the Honduran Bay Islands and the Caribbean side of Mexico are the best in the cruising world. During the last twelve winter seasons I have been cruising in these areas and have become familiar with popular harbors and remote anchorages, and have friends among the cruising community and the local fishermen and business owners in my favorite places.

A crew position on my boat will be exceptionally different from many others listed here in Find-A-Crew because we will be sailing as much as possible to enjoy my favorite things-snorkeling from the sailboat or taking my 16 foot fiberglass skiff to nearby reefs and snorkeling areas. I harvest food from the sea by fishing from the sailboat and skiff, and by diving and spear fishing for conch and lobster.

I get great pleasure from sharing my favorite places with others who would enjoy a similar experience.

I keep my boat in a marina in Río Dulce during the summer hurricane season and return to the boat from the US each November to haul out and attend to seasonal maintenance and repairs. The interior is very open and light with full surrounding ports in the salon, a large stern cockpit and comfortable seating on the exterior all around the deck. It has a roomy shower and large galley with an oven and a freezer. The crew will occupy the entire starboard hull with a queen sized bunk, and a private head.

My partner, Denise has been sailing with me since 2019. We are able and happy to sail alone but would like to have some company, and I appreciate some help handling my boat to keep the boat and the crew safe. I monitor the weather and don't take risks.

I am looking for a crew couple who:
- has a love of the water, snorkeling, and harvesting food from the sea

- has experienced multi-day cruising on a sailboat.

- will enjoy sailing to remote anchorages. We will go to shore to walk when possible. We will go to shore occasionally for bars and restaurant meals, but the focus of a cruise with me is to eat meals on board away from busy harbors to enjoy the clear waters near the reefs and other natural beauty these cruising grounds have to offer.

- will be Ok with not having internet access 24/7. When there is no cell service, we have satellite communication via email and for weather only.

My boat is also my home. I am looking for a crew couple who will treat me and my home with the same respect they would want when inviting strangers into their own home for three weeks.
