Dear Shipmates

Introduction

update
August 12
Hauled boat out to boatyard for safety
Hurricane season is here!!
more likely relaunch end of October?

Winter plans going south!!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully by October will be back on the water?

This is the first season did not cruise the Northeast, last 5 years will leave home and cruise up to Nova Scotia, however the weather has been more difficult for the last couple of years and anticipating a more active hurricane season decided to haul out for safe keeping!

End of October, will like to be back on the water and head south for the season.
Not sure yet destination, depending on having crew available will determine plans, will not rule out Mexico(Isla Mujeres) or the islands.
Have being in Isla Mujers years ago on my return from San Blas.

As I turned 83 getting closer to "Trawler option) however have been moving the “goal post” since age 60 when I thought 60 was the end of the line.
70's came, followed by 80s.

Figure, any day on the water beats mowing the lawn.

Granted, finding a crew is the challenge now, as lately being characterized as “octogenarian” is a reality.

Single hand most times, enjoy company IF agreeable. spend more times at marinas, provides for easier access to local attraction and points of interest.

Enjoy trying local eateries, is always a “cultural experience”,
Marinas most times provide a social environment with local boaters and transient fellow cruisers.

Find many are curious on my age and ability to manage this type of life, as well as their own thinking, "if this guy can do it, maybe I will too?”
Anyway,
Life is Good
