My name is Juho, I'm a former alpine skier from Northern-Finland. After ending my skiing career in 2017 I decided to pursue my dreams of sailing and in the summer of 2018, I crossed the Pacific. I was sailing on a classic yawl. I sailed from Ecuador to Tahiti and it was my first time on a sailboat. Now that I've made my first touch on sailing I'd like to take the next step towards my ultimate goal, to be an ocean racer. I know that cruising across the Pacific is not the same as racing across it but now I know what sailing feels like and what it's like to be in the middle of an ocean on a sailboat far away from land.
I Love it.

My desire to be an offshore ocean racer comes from my ski racing background and growing up in Finnish Lappland. I love to do extreme sports, and for some reason, the more extreme the conditions, the better! To me, sailing has always been an extreme sport. Only recently I realized that it can be much more than that.
