Dear Shipmates
Introduction
Hello My name is Alan or Al I am an easy going person who gets along with others, not many thing bother me and have been described as unflappable...I don't panic in situations as I like to think things through before thing get out of hand.
I am a retired engineer with a trade background and am pretty handy around most systems though electrical is not a strong suit for me. I have welding experience from a boilermaker background and strong layout and fabricating knowledge. I have lived in Canada for many years and travel in the US extensively for many years as my job requirement. I moved back to Australia for the climate we have here. I have taken numerous RYCA courses and have Day Skipper and radio licences required for marine use.

My plans for the future are to buy my own sailboat out of Canada or US and eventually bring it back to Australia and do a circumnavigation of our beautiful country. I am currently looking at a number of options for purchase of monohulls but would /can put on hold in order to get more experience as a crew member.
