I am enthusiastic, easy to get on with, reasonably fit with some experience on the water looking to up my skills and knowledge of sailing and marine operations (hands on approach), travel, and breathe the salt air. I expect to do my share aboard (night watch, cleaning, cooking), am a team player with a positive attitude and good sense of humour.

I love the cruising lifestyle and hope to find a recreational/cruising crew position with an experienced, knowledgeable captain on a safe, well equipped vessel. I prefer the warmer climes, but coming from the Pacific Northwest, I am used to colder, wet weather.

My experience in boating/sailing has been intermittent over the past 20 yrs; there have been casual sails, cruise & learns in the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest. At home, I’ve been racing the past year on a 32’ Discovery. So far, my sailing adventures have taken me over 6500nm. I've enjoyed the different cultures, the thrill and peace of sailing, and meeting likeminded sailors.

Crewing trips:

2013 - 45' Lagoon cat for 2 wks from Sicily to Athens the summer of 2013, which opened my eyes to the opportunities for a non boat owner to sail/travel with boats all over the world.

2014 - 42' HR ketch. 10 week sail from Chiapis Mx to San Fransisco as the only crew member an amazing voyage skirting 5 hurricanes.

2015 - 47' Wauquiez. 4 wks Croatia - Koronates Islands

2015 - 42' HR ketch. San Fransisco to Victoria BC Canada

2018 - 42' HR ketch. San Diego to San Fransisco

2018 - 44’ Beneteau in Rota, Spain, sailed east through the strait of Gibraltar stopping in Morocco, and the Costa del Sol over two weeks. I

2019 - 40’ Lagoon through the Dodecanese and the Gulf of Gorkova, Turkey.

2022 - 43' Jeanneau. Sailing Sicily, the Aeolian Islands.

2022 - 43' Jeanneau. Liguria, southern France to Barcelona.

2023 - 43' Jeanneau. Southeast Spain, Balearic Islands

2023 - 45' Fontaine Pajot. Sicily, Sardinia, Menorca


Now retired, however my career background was in interior design/sewing with a short history of sailmaking/rigging/canvas work. Other interests include art & architecture; In the last few years I have traveled throughout Europe and Mexico, all of which are a feast for the eyes of an artist and lover of architecture & design.
Food, love food and cooking; have catered and bartended private & business functions. I do not smoke or use drugs, drink socially. A healthy lifestyle and sense of humour are invaluable for quality of life on and off the water.
I enjoy a variety of music (blues, rock, soft jazz, cuban, classical..) but also love the clanging of halyards in the wind when tied up in a marina.
