Hi, My name is Scott. I grew up on the beach in Ft Lauderdale, Fl, graduated from University of Florida, and I am a former U.S. Navy Officer with over 100,000-nm at sea. I have been sailing/racing since I was a young boy, and I owned my own boat and singled-handed from Ft Lauderdale to Trinidad and Tobago back from 1998 to 2003. I spent 5 years sailing the Eastern Caribbean single handed. Then in 2003 I moved back to Florida. I now have my 50-ton Captains license and have been doing charters and deliveries from New England down to the Caribbean.

I am looking for a boat that needs a capt/first mate/engineer/crew. I am an experienced sailor with over 100,000-nm at sea, a 50-ton Captains license/sailing endorsement/and STCW-95 cert. I have spent many years sailing from Florida to the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, USVI, BVIs, St Martin, Antigua, St Lucia, St Vincent, Grenada, and Trinidad and Tobago. I am familiar with the islands, where to provision, and where to duck-in from bad weather. Aside from being an accomplished sailor I am also an excellent chef, and a laid-back easy going person.

I recently completed a job as Captain and Engineer of a 72-ft Outer Reef Yacht with 2 CAT C9 enigines, 2 Northern Light 20KW Gens, ABT Hydraulic Thrusters/Stabilizers, Hydraulic Davit Crane, FCI Water Maker, etc. I have been with this boat for 1.5 years.

On June 23, 2014 I completed delivering a 53-ft Jenneau sailboat from Charleston, SC to Manhattan, NY. During October 2014 I helped sail the same boat from Manhattan to Miami. Both times it was just the owner and I on board, standing watches throughout the night for several days at in a row, etc.

My motivation is that I love the sea.
