I have spent the first decades of my life either in the sea or in the sea, with my dad to whom sailing means absolute freedom and joy.
Raised in Brittany, France, I couldn't wait to cross an ocean. After turning 18, I actually ended up crossing many oceans very quickly, on very many boats. I have been so lucky to end up in the most wonderful sailboats and around very good skilled sailors who have taught me so much.
My offshore experience started on 45 meters British tall ship, from south of France to the UK.
From there I was approved as crew for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society to set sails from south of France back to Australia, and from Australia to New Zealand to Antarctica, to rescue whales from whalers.
Sailed on a different sailboat from Tasmania to Sydney.
Sailed all over the Mediterranean on different sailboats. Sailed all over the Bahamas on beautiful yawl.
Sailed from San Francisco to Costa Rica on a gorgeous schooner.
Sailed from Thailand to Malaysia to Indonesia to Philippines to Palau to Solomons to Samoa to Tonga to Fiji on unique 120ft S/V Infinity (concrete hull).
On Infinity I was so very lucky to be able to do my divemaster course in the most amazing spots, and so I am as much in love (if not more) with diving than sailing.
Underwater and on a boat, those are my happy places.
