I have crewed on six sailing vessel and one motor vessel since early 2009. I am more of an adventure-seeker and life-liver than a sailor, but since sailing is part of life and it's full of adventure and beauty, well, it fits into my way of life.
Wherever I am usually dictates what I may be doing. On the boat, I love to swim. On passage, I love to read and cook. Ashore, I love to explore, hike and experience. I love to read and learn and am a teacher. I have been a nanny and am great with kids and am eager to do this on a boat as well. While I admit to being lazy at times, most everyone else reckons I'm incredibly active. I like yoga, SCUBA, swimming, volleyball, and gaming, among other activities. Keeping fit and focusing on dietary and environmental health are primary goals since our health is the one thing we've got. I'm not vegetarian but enjoy vegetables the most (perfect with fresh caught fish!). Because of my ideas about health, I really enjoy cooking and creating new meals that are delicious and healthy. I've even learned how to cook some meats while living in Australia!
In college I double majored in history and political science, and received a Master of Teaching in 2014. I believe in being a good person, which transcends to politics, religion and daily life: I don't litter. I vote progressive. I am not religious. My stances on each issue revolve around being a good person, though I am certainly far from perfect ;o)
