Hi! I am Silas, 23 years old, from Berlin, looking to find a boat for Transatlantic crossing after New Years from Europe to America. I have sailed before and have the “International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft”. I have sailed on the ocean once before in my life but have mostly been on lakes otherwise and relatively small boat.

It always has been my biggest dream to cross the ocean sailing, not having to fly and having the experience of a lifetime! I am willing to work, cook, pay a fair amount and do everything that needs to be done on the boat that’s in my abilities. I have done an internship at a boatbuilder, and I think I know my way around a boat, but I definitely also still have a lot to learn. I also love cultural and language exchange, I speak and could teach German, English, Turkish (A2), Latin and Ancient Greek. I would love to improve on my poor Spanish and French skills on this journey if possible and am always eager to learn new skills and languages! Also, I got a bachelor’s in psychology, play the guitar, chess and a lot of other things, that I would love to share. :)

From January onwards I want to go from anywhere in Europe to anywhere in America. If I can’t find anything on here, I will probably go to Gran Canaria and try from there. I really want to make this dream become reality! If You have any tips or know any people that I might be a good fit for, let me know. I will be very grateful!
