I started and managed a co-housing co-op for 6 years. I’m a strong communicator and have experience navigating interpersonal situations. I know how to respectfully share living spaces :)
I rode my bicycle from Vancouver, Canada to La Paz, Mexico. I’m strong, committed, and not afraid of hard work or being uncomfortable at times.
I’m somewhat handy - I have a background in the electronics industry. It was a long time ago, many of the details evade me, but I have a pretty good understanding of electrical systems, decent soldering skills, and some troubleshooting ability. I also have a motorhome and have had to fix blocked grey water pipes, patch roof leaks, replace the thermocouple on the hot water tank and replace the oven… you get the picture.
I have coordinated many community projects and events. I’m great with spreadsheets and agendas. Don’t get me wrong though, I still get a thrill out of winging it. It really depends on the context.
I’m creative. I do a little bit of a lot of things, painting, weaving, punch needle, embroidery, ceramics, and sewing.
I’m active and in good health. I love being outdoors. Hiking, swimming, paddleboarding, trail running, and biking. I've surfed a little. I like crabbing. I want to learn to fish.
I speak intermediate level Spanish and am always looking for a chance to continue.
I guess you could sum it all up by saying that I have an appetite to experience as much as I can in this life. I value genuine connections with other people and love learning.
