Being on the water either on a sailboat or my paddle board are where I am happiest. I love discovering new places, food and meeting new people. My dream is to one day have my own boat in the Caribbean and am looking to gain more experience before I do.
Boat cooking is my favourite way to cook because you have to be creative with the food that is available. I enjoy doing boat chores from cleaning the hull, organizing storage, running errands or simply cleaning the fridge. I have done a number of night watches, all of which were done with only one other person aboard. I am used to "napping" in the cockpit and have excellent vision, both day and night. I prefer being at anchor than in a marina, can drive a dinghy, use Navionics and know never to make plans because they can change at anytime.
I got my Basic and Intermediate Cruising Certifications in Toronto as well as my Maritime Restricted Operator's Certificate. I also have my Advanced Open Water.
All my offshore sailing experiences have been recreational.
