I am a IYT intl Bareboat Skipper, IYT small powerboat and RIB master, PADI Instructor (MSDT) and have my STCW incl. security awareness and a valid ENG1. I am looking to earn mileage to be able to do a Master of Yachts/ Commercial Yachtmaster Certification

I have experience on a dive liveaboard as an assistant cruise director/dive guide/deck hand in the Andaman Islands. I am familiar and experienced in deck work including rope work, mooring and mooring, anchoring, wash downs, chipping, painting and general engine maintenance. I also have experience with wheel house procedures like watchkeeping and chartwork. I have held sole responsibility for arranging bunkering on request of the Chief Engineer, liaising with port authorities in obtaining voyage permissions, vessel surveys (Class, Flag state, SOLAS etc.), attending berthing meetings, updating files with current statuary certificates, insurance papers etc.

Prior to my liveaboard experience, I have had dive shop management experience. I was involved with a newly set up dive shop in Colombo, Sri Lanka from their early stages and optimized their standard operating procedures. I also gained a lot of experience in wreck diving. I also have experience diving and managing a shop in the remote Andaman Islands, India. This was challenging because one had to improvise and react quickly to unforeseen situations in far off places.
I have been working with boats and diving for the last four years and love being out on the water!
