My name is Murray. I am a 62 y.o. male with 15 years of single and multi-day cruising, plus some keel boat racing experience in the interior of B.C. as well as some offshore cruising as seen below. I have completed the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron Boating and Navigation course.
Murray sailed with us for nearly 2 months in Thailand and Malaysia. He is very enthusiastic and is always helping out. He had sole night watches, cooking duties and performed all the daily duties that keep a long distance sailing vessel moving. He has sailed in rough seas, calm seas, day, night and everything in between so no need to worry about him hiding in his cabin :) We really enjoyed his company and would not hesitate to have him aboard again.

S/v Solar Blue
Solar Blue is a 15.4 meter Bavaria 49 that we have sailed from Greece to Thailand over the last 3 years. To date we have had 31 crew who have sailed various legs of out journey.
To whom it may concern:
Murray accompanied me on a week turn-around from Koh Lipe/Thailand to Phuket leading up to Christmas. (likely about 280 nm)
The one week sail included a couple of night sails with winds 5-6 beaufort.
Not only did he pilot Practical Dreams (33' sloop) with confidence and a good feel throughout our primarily upwind passages, he showed a regard and respect for my equipment that is rare and greatly appreciated.
In addition to being a more than helpful participant his stamina to do what is necessary is way beyond a normal four hour night shift.
He was on the helm for the majority of an overnight sail while I struggled with a personal medical difficulty.
He is welcome welcome on Practical Dreams any time!
