Dear shipmates
I am a retired TV-Journalist. I spent most the time of my sailing live on swiss lakes with my dinghy "Ponant", but from time to time I was looking for the advebture of the big sea. So I spent my last 10 summers on the Mediterrenan, the Baltic and the Atlantic sea. I was sailing with a friend on a small vessel (27 feet) from Holland to Cadiz, from Germany to Estonia, we were sailing from Holland to Scotland an back, and last fall I was guest on an 56 feet luxury yacht in Croatoa, to give you some examples. I think I made about 5000 miles in this time and two years ago I passed all the exams as a skipper for pleasure crafts. One year ago my friend became so sick, he had to quit sailing and he has sold the boat. And becauseI can't afford to buy my own vessel, I' m looking for possibilties to continue my adventures.
I consider myself as a cautious sailor. I'd like to sail in sunny weather, but sometimes you can't avoid rain and gales, even you try to avoid any risks.
My dream is to cross the Atlantic one day and sail in Carribean waters, but any other trip with nice people will be fine. I like to smoke my evening pipe on deck, but no smoking is ok too, after sunset a drink is fine, I manage to cook for crew and if theres a rope around the propeller I dive and cut it.
