My certifications include: Skipper/unlimited Chief Mate ticket with a limit of 300 tons, STCW '95, GMDSS, Automatic Radar Plotting, Radar Observation and Plotting, multiple Certifications in A-VI/1-3, Estonian Yacht Captain's Certificate and Deep Sea Navigator's Certificate. I'm also certified in Inspection of Hull Condition and Efficiency of Ship Repair. I have my certificates/diplomas available upon request.

Recent achievements: two Trans-Atlantic crossing experiences - from England across Europe and the Atlantic on a 32' Westerly Longbow (summer 2003), and on a 50’ Morgan from USA to Europe (summer 2006), both with my daughter. Indian Ocean crossing experiences (spring 2009). Very interesting work: delivery of the topsail schooner "Amistad" as a Navigator/2nd Mate from Canada to USA.

From 05 December 2011 to 21 May 2014 I did a solo sailing circumnavigation on the yacht Hikari (C&C 35' 1972), route:

From August 2014 to August 2015 I worked as a captain on the 112 foot yacht. Six months repairing her in Trinidad and then I did the delivery to Indonesia through the Panama Canal, the Pacific Ocean and the Torres Strait.

I have over 30 years experience working on boats varying from smallest yachts to the World's largest sailing barque "Kruzenshtern", where I served as a 2nd Mate. I crossed the oceans solo, in small teams and part of and in command of large crews. From 2011 to 2014 I made a solo circumnavigation on the yacht Hikari (C&C 35', 1972). My commercial experience includes both charters and deliveries. I have participated in multiple Regattas and races.

On a more personal note, I am a non-smoker and a healthy life style enthusiast. I am a former professional athlete (Boxing) and currently qualify as a Personal Trainer. I cook quite well and enjoy experimenting with various cuisines. I am highly organized and like to keep everything neat and clean. I thrive in a courteous and professional environment, but can also appreciate a relaxed comrade spirit of a tight crew.
