My long term sailing goal is to create regenerative expeditions at sea, connect positive impact projects, and facilitate sustainable slow travel under sail.

And of course invite crews on nature immersions in the Azores, right in the middle of the Atlantic Circuit. Pico is my Home Island.

In a few years time I would like to live full time on a sailboat and until that time I want to build my sailing experience and confidence. Ideally, I would love to travel the world with a family and a small group of friends, while creating positive impact on the planet.

I am currently studying at Enkhuizer Zeevaartschool to obtain my professional sailing license for commercial sailing vessels up to 500 tons. I also have an offshore skipper license, SRC RYA, and STCW.

I am looking to gain experience at sea, before buying my own boat one day. I’m particularly interested in passage planning, navigation and boat maintenance. I am eager to take part in various boat activities and help+learn in variety of areas.

I eat vegetarian / vegan, but let that not scare you. I’m happy with rice, beans, oats, dried fruits and basic veg and fruit. I eat simple and effective. I don’t mind being in a meat-eating environment and I am not planning on telling anyone how to live their lives (and I’m expecting the same). I’m an excellent cook and I’m more than happy to cook delicious and nutricious meals and desserts (fine dining dessert experiences at sea are my specialty). Just please don’t ask me to handle your meat, but I can do everything else.
