I’m a 57-year-old world traveler with a background as a teacher and project manager, now self-retired and embracing a life of adventure. For the past few years, I’ve been exploring the world mainly on motorbikes, but recently, I’ve rediscovered my love for sailing and I’m eager to spend a few months navigating Southeast Asia.

Why I Want to Join a Sailing Crew

There are places in the world that just make more sense to explore from the sea, and I want to experience that. I’ve spent the last few years traveling on motorbikes, chasing adventure on land, and now I feel like it’s time to switch things up. Sailing feels like the perfect next step—learning the ropes (literally), exploring places I’ve never been, and just soaking in the kind of adventure that only happens on the water. Southeast Asia has some of the most beautiful coastlines and islands, and I can’t think of a better way to see them than by boat, with a great crew, sharing the journey.
