I'm an IT Security Professional, with lifelong passion for the sea, in Nov 2022 I've shifted my IT career over to long term leisure cruising, deliveries and taking care of your vessel - in a friendly spirit!

I will be excited to join your vessel regardless if its short (week(s)) or long term (years) cruising. Since 2009 I live in Barcelona where I enjoy outdoor activities like sailing, scuba diving, camping, hiking, snowboarding and mountain biking.
Life Is Too Short To Spend Most Of It At A ‘Day Job’ - so I quit my stable IT job:
Since some time I have been preparing my economical and small passive income sources like my own IT security company to close doors of my flat and go sailing for 3-6-12-∞ months. I'm open for any type of sailing and boat maintenance opportunities. I would love to learn from more experienced skippers and crews.
"McGyver" on board - with MCA AEC1+2 :
I have some hands on experience maintaining outboard, diesel engines and electric, electronic, RF radio systems on the yacht as well hull maintenance (teak, antifouling, re-fitting windows etc.). I feel comfortable with designing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting of electrical equipment like solar panels, charging controllers, gensets, inverters, power banks and battery management systems. My rule of thumb is to leave yacht in better condition regardless if its charter or private yacht.
My passion towards sailing started as a teenager while sailing on the big Polish lakes - mainly on the the small ~23-27ft sailing yachts. Since 1998 I hold my Inland Skipper. Since 2011 I hold ISSA Offshore Skipper "certificate" (50GT, 100NM from shore, sailing yachts up to 24m) and in April 2022 I hold proper skipper license (issued by Polish Yacht Association, unlimited miles from the shore but yachts up to 18m/60ft) - Fully recognized by insurance companies e.g. for Atlantic or Pacific crossing.
I took STCW Basic Security training and I have valid ENG1 equivalent cert.
I have logged 27k+ NM which is good starting point to learn more.
I own my safety gear like offshore-PFD, MOB1 (AIS), PLB (406Mhz SAR) and satellite communications devices like Iridium Go (ready for activation), Garmin InReach Mini and couple of hand held VHF radios ( SRC license). I have my own world wide insurance that covers medical evacuation and active GEOS membership.
