Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Hello
I have helped with six deliveries and have enjoyed them all, I have met interesting people exciting new places and built new friendships.
I would like to work as crew to gain skill and knowledge as well as share my skills and knowledge. I enjoy working on all aspects of a boat and don't mind getting my hands dirty. Well, I don't enjoy working on the head, nobody does, but I have worked on quit a few and will do it again. I'm mechanically inclined and know how to service and maintain motors and most systems. I thoroughly understand and respect the chain of command. Looking for adventure and to build new friendships.
I'm also interested in boat sitting if the owner/captain needs to be away for a week or two.
Thank you for taking the time to review my post.

Attached below is a letter from a previous Captain

SV Duende
80’ Alden motor sailor
La Cruz to Ensenada
July 6-July17, 2021
Approximately 1,000 nautical miles

To Whom It May Concern:
Louis assisted me with delivering my 80’ Alden motor sailor, S/V Duende from La Cruz Mexico to Ensenada Mexico. Acting as competent crew, Lou helped with provisioning the boat and completing final tasks making ready to set sail. He cleared the decks, cleaned lines, ran rigging and prepared sails for getting underway.
On the 1,000 nautical mile sail north, Lou stood watch (Day/Night), assisted with navigation, anchoring, meal preparation and overall operation of the vessel including battery and temperature checks for safe operation.
I would highly recommend Lou to any captain that would like to have a competent, observant, conscientious, hardworking and knowledgeable crewmember onboard.

Thank you,

Gary
