My partner Ed and I met at a remote research camp in North-western Madagascar, coming from different places and backgrounds. But afterwards we decided to quit our jobs in our respective countries so that we could be together and share our passion for travelling and learning. We share an ambition to live simple lives, with few belongings, and to explore new places and learn as much as we can along the way.

We are currently back in the UK. Our last long voyage was between March and April 2023, sailing from Langkawi, Malaysia to Sabang south along the west coast of Sumartra. Earlier last year we sailed from mainland Spain via Gibraltar to Tenerife. Then from late November (2022)-January (2023) we sailed to the Maldives east from Croatia via the Suez Canal and Gulf of Aden. Previously we lived aboard a 24ft sloop in Scotland.
We plan to travel to South East Asia at the beginning of January 2025, looking for crewing opportunities. We will be in East Indonesia by the beginning of February to join a boat.
We travel simply, wildcamping and staying with friends/locals when they offer. We love travelling and experiencing local cultures and new foods.
