Introduction

Hi,

my name is Marco. I am 1/2 Italian and 1/2 German and totally French! :-)

I grew up in Geneva (Switzerland) and have been on sailing boats since I was a child. My dad used to sail from the South of France to Corsica.

I have spent a long time on boats, probably more than 1 year in total (I stopped counting after a while). I have been working as a marine biologist in fisheries research institutes around the world (France, Italy, Scotland, Hawaii, NZ and Australia). I have been on research vessels for work and owned a sailing boat, a Catalina 320, in Brisbane from 2012 to 2015.

I love sailing, traveling by boat, and discovering new places. I have been up and down to the Whitsundays 3 times.

I am easygoing, do everything that needs to be done on board, and love to learn new skills.
