Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Looking for a live aboard crew mate and partner who loves mono hull sailboat life as much as I do. There is potential for making money with charters, boat maintenance projects, sailing school classes, selling boats as a yacht broker, as well as building a very attractive sailing brand while adventuring together around the world.

Currently in the Puerto Vallarta area, moored in a world class marina with full access to a 5 star resort. All amenities of this resort are included with the slip, so it really is a sweet deal living aboard my boat, having access to swimming pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, beach club, daily volleyball matches, air conditioned bathrooms, fancy gym and spa, restaurants, bars, and even free sunrise yoga classes on the beach, along with a steady stream of guests to market our private charters to.

I am open to keep using Puerto Vallarta as a jumping off point for any bigger adventures along the Pacific West Coast, or crossing to Hawaii and the South Pacific. Here, there are boundless opportunities to jump on and off boats from or to Puerto Vallarta, and so I'm happy to keep this as a homebase for the forseeable future, but totally game to go explore the world with the right partner.

Ultimately I am looking for a fearless co-pirata who is looking for an adventure of their lifetime. The ultimate goal is to build up a mobile charter business and establish a brand that will be recognized all around the world, but still fly under the radar if you get my drift.

Huge bonus points if you love to hike, dive, fish, play tennis or volleyball, if you love music and aren't afraid to sing or pick up an instrument to join in, or if you enjoy playing board and card games, and generally love life to the fullest extent possible.

My plans are quite open ended and I am not afraid to adjust the sails to go wherever the wind is blowing. Looking for someone with a similar open-mind, open-heart and unwavering desire to explore and enjoy life on the sea.

About the boat, the plans, and current crew

The vessel is a 1986 Beneteau Idylle 13.50 (44 feet) sailboat, in great condition, and is very comfortable with 2 private cabins, 2 heads, a spacious galley and a very comfortable salon.

The boat has high speed internet via Starlink, a home theatre system, and can comfortably sleep 7 people inside. The cockpit is spacious enough for seating 8 to 10 people with full wrap-around sunbrella couch cushions.

Tons of shade covers for the super hot days, ample fans inside to keep the air moving, and hammocks to hang outside when we are hanging out at a spot for a minute.

The boat sails like a dream, has a solid newer Yanmar 54hp diesel motors that barely sips on fuel, and is complemented by a 9 foot inflatable dinghy and a 15 hp outboard that rips real quick.

The rigging was recently replaced, and the mast has steps so getting to the top of the stick is easy and safe. A brand new Simrad autopilot system was installed this year, and a brand new solar system (450W) keeps everything charged with a house bank of 1200Ah.

Equipped with a BBQ grill and fish cleaning station for cooking up fresh seafood makes for lovely sunset dinners outside, and a freezer and refrigerator will keep food fresh and chilled for weeks at sea.

All in all, the boat is a classic sailing live-aboard that has a huge heart, classic character and a strong desire to always be out on perpetual adventuring. Let's go sailing!

Looking for an easy going, fun and adventurous co-pirata with a strong foundaton built on of honesty, dependability and great common sense... and humor :)

If you have read thus far and are still hung up on some of my longer term goals of sailing around the world being a pirate and doing it all just for fun... please don't despair.

Sometimes all you have is a couple weeks, or a month, and you just want to be on water and feel the trade winds blowing through your hair.

I get it, and if I have a bunk available on this wonderous vessel, or any of the other boats in my orbit, then don't be shy and just say hi.

Let's go sailing!
