Hi, I'm Jason. I'm looking to explore the possibilities of sailing and build some hours on the water. I'm new to the experience, but am motivated, eager, and learn quickly.

I am an experienced world traveler, and am used to traveling rather lightly and negotiating my way through new and strange environments. I have retired from my main profession, and would like to continue to travel but now over the water, while learning the ropes (literally). I am a quick learner, easy-going, and can get along in nearly any situation. My ideal scenario is to build towards blue-water passages, ultimately working towards an Atlantic passage in the next 2-3 years (~2025).

I am an insulin-dependent diabetic, and usually travel with a small 12v cooler to store medications. Otherwise I am in generally good health and am able to perform most tasks once demonstrated and explained.
