Ahoy!
After being part of a fantastic seven-week sailing trip from Dublin to Tenerife in summer 2022, covering over 2,000 nautical miles, I would love to cross the Atlantic end of this year.
I am looking for an opportunity to set sail from Europe, preferably from Spain (incl. Canaries), Portugal, Cabo Verde or France, sometime starting from November/December. The exact destination is less important to me. My goal is to learn more about offshore sailing and have a good time together.
I am looking forward to meeting easy-going and enthusiastic people who want to explore our beautiful planet and learn new things along the way.
I hold a German sailing license ('Bodenseeschifferpatent A & D') and have trained as a wood mechanic for 2-3 years and could lend a hand whenever needed. In addition to my time working and studying in Germany, I've also spent three months in Australia working as a cabinet maker and enjoyed a six-month journey through South America (and did some more travelling & working last year).
With seven weeks of offshore sailing experience on a Hanse 470, I feel comfortable and confident at sea, could lead watches and so far never got seasick. I'm also handy with maintenance tasks and can lend a hand when needed. I'm open to various responsibilities, so don't hesitate to reach out! Also, I am experienced with drones.

In my free time I like to go swimming, meet with friends and I am open to all kinds of sports. When I am at the sea, I like to go surfing and scuba diving. In general, I am keen and interested in a wide variety of topics and enjoy interesting conversations. Since I like to eat healthy and love good food, I know how to cook fairly well. I speak German, English and Spanish.

Crossing the Atlantic has been a dream of mine for several years, and the upcoming travel period coincides perfectly with my plans for a semester abroad in Colombia starting in 2025. The typical time frame of November to January perfectly complements these plans. My goal is not only to cross the ocean, but to also further enhance my offshore sailing skills and eventually be ready to lead a cruise on my own. During the trip I would be happy to meet great people and allow friendships to develop.
