Introduction
Hello. As of Feb 11th 2022 I finished up 20 days as the crew on a 38' Kruger cutter. It was an excellent introduction to cruising on a sailboat. I'm eager to build on what I learned and get more diverse experiences sailing in different parts of the world. I enjoy traveling and meeting new people and am pretty easy going. I've backpacked in my younger years and the minimalist lifestyle of living on a boat appeals to me. I'm a small person, but strong and fit for my size and age. I'm also a very hard worker and am a morning person but can operate well on odd sleep schedules.

I will be looking for paid or unpaid crew positions in winter 2025 on a sailing vessel. Its essential to me that the captain have extensive (20 + years) sailing in open waters and is respectful, calm and wants to share his/her sailing knowledge. I'm open to any destination and have no problem paying my way to get to the boat.
I've been around water and boats most of my life and drive a ski boat for my local waterski club. I enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities including hiking, scuba, whitewater kayaking, skiing, motocycle touring, snowshoeing, gardening and camping. Roughing it isn't a problem for me!
I am told I'm very handy ( and not just for a woman!!). I renovated my home myself which involved a complete demolition and rebuild. I am also mechanically inclined and a natural problem solver that is not afraid to jump in and figure something out.
I am also environmentally conscious (despite my passion for motorboats and motorcycles!), and until recently, my bicycle was my primary mode of transport. I have a bachelor degree as well as a Masters degree in resource management and environmental studies.
