Introduction
I am trained as a Canadian Coast Guard navigation officer, although I haven't worked as one for decades. I have been on several yacht deliveries, sailing along the eastern seaboard of North America from the tropics up to Newfoundland. I have a reasonable amount of experience in mid-sized sailing yachts (8-12 metres). I am a quiet individual who prefers the sound of the sea over raucous music, although I do love a bit of live celtic music. I suppose I would describe myself as a socialist (politically) and I enjoy curling up with a good book.
