I've worked in education for 24 years and have spent the majority of my free time traveling as much as possible. I've road-tripped through the US and Europe, bicycle toured across a number of states and countries, and backpacked through canyons and over mountains.

I learned to sail 14 years ago by racing on a Catalina 30". Since then I have co-owned a couple of keelboats (25 and 29), and have also earned my RYA Day Skipper Certification. I am competent at the helm and comfortable living aboard. My first offshore experience for a week in the summer of 2021 was a blast, and I completed a similar week-long trip off of the US east coast in 2022. I'm looking to build my confidence and knowledge by learning from someone more experienced than I.
