Much of my 35+ years of sailing experience has been primarily in California, from San Francisco to San Diego, to and around the Channel Islands and to/from Ensenada, MX, focused on racing 30-50' sailboats, holding all positions, with particular expertise on bow. I've also served as co-skipper sailing 40-42' catamarans in the Aegean Sea (Cyclades and Dodecanese Islands), Sicilian Islands of the Mediterranean, French (Guadeloupe) and English (Antigua and Barbuda) Islands of the Caribbean, and the northern islands of Croatia, as well as a 47' monohull in the Sea of Cortez. I learned windsurfing in the Canary Islands and taught it in Santa Barbara. I have cruised the French Polynesia Islands, lived in Spain for a year, and have traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, UK, Norway, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Nepal. I'm very active and fit, and enjoy sailing, skiing, hiking, biking, diving, and traveling. I do not get seasick, and I respect the ocean. I'd prefer to wait out storms than to battle the elements. Safety and problem solving are paramount, as well as having fun and enjoying the experience. I'm an easy person to get along with, and find conversation and shared likes welcoming.

I've done 5 bare boat charters since 2022 on 40-42' catamarans with up to 8 people, exploring the Cyclades and Dodecanese islands of Greece, northern Sicilian islands, Croatia's northern islands, and the English and French Islands of the Caribbean, with crews from Canada, Europe, Norway, and the U.S. I've also sailed the Sea of Cortez, Mexico, several times on a 47' monohull with 1 to 2 other people. Chartering/cruising sea excursions are on my list of favorite passions :-)
