Hi, the bulk of my 30+ years of sailing experience has been primarily in California, from San Francisco to San Diego, to and around some of its islands and down to Ensenada, MX, focused on racing sailboats in the 30 to 50 foot range, holding all positions, with particular expertise on bow. I've also sailed on the U.S. East Coast, in the Pacific Northwest, as well as in the Whitsundays, Australia. I learned windsurfing in the Canary Islands and taught it in Santa Barbara. I enjoy scuba diving, have cruised the French Polynesia Islands, lived in Spain for a year, and have also traveled throughout Europe, Norway, UK, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Nepal, etc. I'm a very active and fit person, who enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, as well as sailing. I do not get seasick, and I respect the ocean. I'd prefer to wait out storms than to battle the elements. Safety and problem solving are paramount, as well as having fun and enjoying the experience. I'm an easy person to get along with, and find conversation and shared likes welcoming.

I've done 4 bare boat charters since 2022 on 40 to 42 foot Catamarans, exploring the Cyclades Islands in Greece, northern Sicilian islands, Croatia's northern islands, and the English and French Islands of the Caribbean, with international crews from Canada, Europe and the U.S. In the summer of 2022, I've also sailed the Sea of Cortez, Mexico, a couple of times on a 48' Beneteau with 1 to 2 other people. Chartering/cruising sea excursions are now added to my list of favorite passions :-)
