Dear Shipmates

Introduction

My mate and I are looking to buy (previously partial to monohulls but now have a down payment on a cat) in a few years and I want to gain more experience before we set sail. I have a few ASA classes completed on a mono in San Diego and am seeking practice/experience/adventure. Spent 3 months on a 41ft cat in the Bahamas w/a wonderful Capt early 2020 and learned a ton. Made a short trip to Oakland for day sailing and work on an older mono early August then turned around and went back to the cat and Capt I was on/with in the Bahamas (now in FL) for a couple weeks. I’m looking for the opportunity to learn and gain experience to apply to my future goals in sailing, have fun and help out in any way I can in the process. *update* recently divorced but continuing my sailing ventures.

Update on the cooking! Don’t know if it’s any good but I enjoyed it during my time in Bahamas and Capt didn’t complain nor become ill. If it wasn't for the smoking, I'd have checked the fit and healthy box. I smoke but view myself as very clean and conscientious about it. All in all, I'm pretty fit and healthy. I'm (in my opinion) tastefully tattooed and pierced. I enjoy learning and new/different experiences.

As I mentioned before, my guy (Mike) and I are looking to buy in the near future. I'm not currently working and getting a little stir crazy. I want to learn to sail and be as prepared as I can be when the time comes. Mike spent time in the Navy and has a passion for the ocean. I grew up around it. Took a solo trip to Baja California (via land) last christmas for nostalgia! So, adventurous I am.
