I have several boat deliveries under my keel, and just finished a 4,000nm Atlantic Crossing in June 2024. We started in St Maarten, with stops in Bermuda and the Azores and eventually I jumped off in Brest, France. Currently, I'm studying and working towards my Master's Captain's license and plan to be a USCG documented 25 ton Captain by the end of 2024.

I've sailed with couples, families with young children, all male crew, and an a 78 year old grumpy Captain, who I finally one over with my southern charm and postive attitude. (He's now a good friend and one of my best references.)

Besides experience with the instruments and navigation systems, I've completed over 100 Night watches, climbed a 63ft mast, and have my own Spinlock deckvest, double tether and Garmin inReach.

Previously, my husband and I owned catamaran and were cruisers for several years, sailing Galveston Bay and eventually crossing the Gulf of Mexico from Texas to Florida. We later traded ocean life for lake life, and currently live on a houseboat, seasonally, in Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia.

I soon found myself missing the open water and decided to take up crewing. Crewing on both catamarans and monohulls has been an invaluable tool in learning all aspects of sailing and boat maintenance.
