I am a retired engineer, retired soldier (officer and a gentleman) looking to explore and have some fun. Bird breeder, Airborne jumper, geek, video & music producer, amateur road racer, author (ask and I will give you the title, went to #9 in the military category at Amazon), public speaker (several states & Europe), college professor. . . fun and funny to be with, capable of holding your interest, for a little while anyway. This is a Cal 346 (46'} ketch with a center console. The davits with dingy puts it about 50’ for the sake of slip length. It is a true ocean capable blue water boat, heavy, low heeling with a full 5.6’ draft. All lines come to the cockpit so it can be handled solo. Easy for crew of two. It has good equipment. Redundant Garmin chart plotter, extra VHS, SSB, depth finder and more electronics, Good systems are on-board. Ship has two private cabins, two heads, two showers plus the salon/galley. Bought the boat off the Chesapeake, moved the boat from Maryland to home port in Mississippi to pick up some property. Ready to head back out to? Bahamas? Cancun? Travel to Nova Scotia or someplace cooler towards summer and then??? Cross the ocean from there? Greek Islands? Malta is on my mind.

Need one quality sailing companion, female only. No couples or teams please. Companions should be fit, disciplined, have at least some minor sense of morals and good humor, able to swim and know the bow from the stern on a boat. Cleaning is expected but will be shared. Cooking and other duties will also be shared. Following orders is expected but will be explained and not barked (unless stuck in a hurricane). I am not hung up on race for in my lifetime I have dated all of God's colors (you know the tune "red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight. . ."). More concerned with age – young enough to do the job and old enough to identify with (but not necessary adopt) the Captain’s values.
